These figures were made for Kellogg's by Crescent Toy Co.

Other Crescent figures were given away in Kellogg's cereals: there were sets of Cowboys, Indians, Medieval Knights; a set of Noddy figures, some Circus figures and six pneumatic Spacemen. The odd thing is that advertisements for all these are easy to find in comics of the time (1957 - 1960), with the exception of the Robin Hood set.

Have you ever come across a printed advertisement for them?

Hi Philosphic toad,

and many thanks for putting the fine detail on this post.

I did have the Noddy set until fairly recently.

I never saw a printed ad for them.

Maybe they spent so much on television advertising that they didn't bother with putting any in comics. Anyway, the search continues ...

If you're interested, I've put a copy of the printed advertisement for the Noddy set here (I'll leave it up for a couple of days):
